Hey there! My name is Hunter and I want to welcome you to my blog. Thinking Like a River is an eclectic collection of my thoughts, experiences, and insights into being human. I’ve kept journals for years and this blog is a more focused and purposeful extension of my personal writing.
I’m free-spirited, loving, deeply feeling, spiritual, and centered. I’d love to stop there but I’m also self-conscious, fearful, uncertain, anxious, and lonely. Today I choose to acknowledge and appreciate both sides without labeling any part of me as unacceptable.
I study psychology at the University of South Carolina, wait tables at a locally owned restaurant, spend time under the sun out in nature, grow fruits and veggies, listen to music all the time, travel when I can, play the ukulele, go to therapy, get together with loved ones, and more.
Thinking Like a River is meant for anyone with an interest in self-reflection or a desire for growth. We are all traveling down the same path, I have no authority here. My aims are simply to share what I’ve learned from my experiences in hopes of helping others and learning more about myself in the process. Thank you for reading and I’d love to here from you through my contact page.
